Marriage of Pawel Pankowski and Katarzyna Derda (1840)
Hello,
This is my translation of the Polish language marriage record of Paweł Pankowski and Katarzyna Derda, from the Straszewo parish.
Zakrzewo, No. 3, 1840
This happened in the village of Straszewo on the 1st of April, 1840, at 12 p.m. We declare in the presence of: Paweł Lewandowski, aged 60, and Walenty Bąk, aged 34, both are farm owners residing in Zakrzewo, that on this day a religious marital union was contracted between:
Paweł Pankowski, aged 25, Catholic, single, a farmhand residing in the village of Zakrzewo, the son of the deceased Wojciech – a farm owner in Zakrzewo, and Franciszka Pankowski nee Wojdyła – residing in Zakrzewo, born in the village of Zakrzewo,
and Katarzyna Derda, a.k.a Kwiecińska, aged 24, Catholic, single, residing in the village of Zakrzewo, the daughter of Wojciech Derda, a.k.a Kwieciński – a laborer residing in Krzywosądz, and the deceased Ludwika, born in the village of Stanomin – Kingdom of Prussia.
Three announcements preceded this marriage. The banns were read, at the Straszewo Parish church on the 24th, 28th, and 31st of March, 1840. No impediments arose and the families gave their approvals. The newlyweds stated that they had made no prenuptial agreement between them. This document, after being read aloud to the witnesses and the newlyweds, was signed by the presiding pastor.
Rev. Jakób Kolęda, Pastor of the Straszewo Parish and Civil Registrar.
